15+ years of first-hand small business experience
Having built a service based business from the ground up, to a business servicing 200+ regular clients, with 14 staff, over two locations). I know first hand what it takes to build a business, including what works, what doesn't, and understand exactly what is on the line when you are running your own business.

A foundation and education in Marketing and Management
University degrees are not the be all and end all, but they sure helped Paul realise what made successful businesses work, what pitfalls to avoid, and played a pivotal role in his discovery of a passion for small business (and a healthy resentment for big corporates)
